suppose a white male got involved with a woman who had two mixed children from a previous relationship with an african-american. what would the teenage years be like, as a parent, would the children respect you, even if you tried your hardest to bring them up properly, or would there be pronlems with the teens since neither of us are black?

What country is your African parent from?
PsyMaj. It’s not difficult. Do you have a parent that comes from any one of the 53 African countries and one that does not.
NEWS FLASH truth hurts- I will go SLOWLY.
EG. Parent 1 = NIGERIAN, PARENT 2= FRENCH.
It’s that simple. If you don’t understand then **** off.

How easy is it for you to tell if an “African American” or “Black” person is of a mixed heritage. Meaning that they can trace their lineage to other countries or continents besides Africa. What gives it away? What features do you attribute with this?? Just curious as to what people think. Thanks.
Hey, this question wasn’t meant to offend anyone. I have always been curious about culture and mixing etc, because mine is mixed as well. We all are. The only way to learn is to ask. Right? I personally don’t see any harm or offense in that. Ciao.

Do you find it offensive that Obama seems to only acknowledge his father’s African heritage?

Tekey asked:
It’s my understanding that he was raised by his white mother and later her parents, but he never seems to acknowledge their contribution to his life. I understand that he identifies with black people because society sees him in that light, but that does not mean he should deny his other half.
