Apparently more than his white heritage (read his books).

  2. Myra F on October 14th, 2008 9:58 pm

I would imagine that he is. Why wouldn’t he be?

  3. superstar3783 on October 16th, 2008 1:46 pm

he should be, the white people are proud of their heritage after they killed off a whole country. remember the american Indians?

  4. blatantly conservative on October 19th, 2008 8:49 am

    It depends on his audience.

  5. joee6828 on October 21st, 2008 11:42 am

    i should hope so

  6. Peachy McKeen on October 22nd, 2008 6:21 am

Well, it’s obvious that he isn’t proud of his white heritage.

  7. Ryan B on October 22nd, 2008 8:54 am

I’m sure he is. He had a white mother, black father, and a half sister who is pacific islander, he belongs to several different ethnicities and I’m sure he’s proud of them all.

  8. david c on October 24th, 2008 2:00 pm

yeah those nations really made a contribution …to obamas account to run for potus

  9. ChOcOkittIe!! on October 25th, 2008 10:30 am

He is proud of both his white & black culture

  10. Stizzle on October 28th, 2008 6:09 am

Wow, uh superstars response was very immature and stereotypical… but anyway, back to the actual question, I’m sure that he is proud, and good for him.

  11. CMH♥JCW♥MJV on October 29th, 2008 4:12 am

hell no. he does not what he is.

  12. Nikki on October 29th, 2008 8:08 pm

He’s of Kenyan descent, not Ghana. And yes he is to the point of almost disowning his white heritage, tho’ his black father deserted him & his mother. It plays well to voters.

  13. ATJ on October 30th, 2008 11:35 am

I’m so sick of this man and today Africa is the last thing on my mind. Let’s have some smart talk!

  14. delphi on October 31st, 2008 11:34 pm

I don’t see where this matters.

  15. xpops on November 2nd, 2008 3:42 pm

He should like his black side since it’s the only thing that let him run for office

  16. Ethel M on November 3rd, 2008 7:35 pm

Sure why not be proud of it. He just doesn’t have to brag about it. Do you have a problem with that?

  17. me on November 6th, 2008 3:56 pm

I think he is ****** and I don’t trust him

  18. Alex J on November 7th, 2008 11:19 pm

    Yes, he is.

And by the way, Obama is part Kenyan.

  19. Christine on November 9th, 2008 6:34 pm

his dad was from kenya, not ghana.

  20. deleted account on November 11th, 2008 12:55 am

Of course he is. Is it not obvious or are you just needing some attention today?

  21. Kestril on November 12th, 2008 4:40 pm

I don’t think so. He has seen his father only 2 times and lets his African half siblings and step mom live in Shacks or crummy houses with hardly any money.

  22. The devil wears hollister. on November 14th, 2008 9:44 am

I’ve never heard him say he was ashamed of his white heritage you liars. He is biracial. Some people choose to identify with a certain race more then the other. Nothing wrong with that.

Besides. There is only ONE race and that’s the HUMAN race!

    Obama/Biden08!!!

  23. Tia on November 14th, 2008 4:32 pm

Yes and you’re are wrong I don’t know what the hell you are talking about and why is this a concern for you. The neocons is always bringing up Obama’s race. He’s proud of both of his heritages. It’s not up to YOU to tell him what race to identifies with. Apparently society “whites” see him as a black man. That’s why most whites aren’t voting for Barack. Obama is African American not Muslim. (=

  24. Spiritual Coach Lynne on November 17th, 2008 2:48 pm

I think he really sees himself as most highly evolved people where he doesn’t separate himself by geography or color or any outer thing but focuses on his spirit. We can’t judge one place as being better or worst than another with out making assumptions. Most democrats look into things deeply & aren’t that shallow. I never tell people where my ancestors came from cause it has nothing to do with me. I can’t speak for him so this is just what I would imagine after seeing how intelligent he is but I am no where near as intelligent as he is so this answer is probably inferior to what he would say.

  25. I'm naked on the floor on November 20th, 2008 11:01 am

He is using his African heritage as a gimmick. Than he forgets that he is also half white. He ***** and color doesn’t matter. I don’t trust him.

  26. rosegardennh on November 22nd, 2008 1:25 am

All 25% of it, I guess. If Arabs are considered Caucasian, than Obama is 75% white. He is also proud of his religion. Last week he said “My Muslim faith.”

  27. Haynes-Weir '08 on November 22nd, 2008 2:37 pm

Sure he wears the Traditional Kenyan Headress. that idiots think is a Muslim, I think he’s just proud to be American….His Grandad was in WW2

  28. Son of Liberty on November 22nd, 2008 8:10 pm

You must be referring to his Arabic heritage right? That’s the next biggest contribution to his genes right after Caucasian. He’s barely got any African blood running through his veins at all.

    McCain/Palin ‘08

  29. Hi! My Name is Sarah Palin! on November 24th, 2008 2:55 pm

What’s your point. I’m black, despite the fact that in the picture I look PINK. I’m an african american who’s proud of my african heritage. I’m and AMERICAN first because unlike you, my ancestry stops at a slave ship.

I’m sure that since Obama could meet his ancestors in Kenya, he is proud of that heritage. He’s also proud of his white american heratige.

I’m guessing this is your way of dehumanizing him so you feel better about yourself and your saltine candidates.

  30. van on November 27th, 2008 4:50 am

i am not psychic, but i read that he took his wife there after they got married. I am sure that most people are proud of their heritage when it is reflected in a positive light.

  31. arabrab_61024 on November 27th, 2008 5:11 pm

    He isnt proud of anything

  32. Lydia on November 27th, 2008 6:17 pm

Not only is he more proud of his African heritage, he was a member of a church whose stated loyalty was to Africa NOT America!

  33. Cara S on November 29th, 2008 6:05 am

I’m more concerned that he’s not proud enough of his AMERICAN heritage!

  34. Smart Blonde on December 1st, 2008 12:11 pm

Ghana? Hahaha oh god don’t get me started. What’s happened to Ghana since then anyway?

Of course Obama is proud of his African heritage. He doesn’t talk about his half brother who lives in a mud hut off pennies a day while Obama preaches about “hope” and “change” for the lower/middle classes in America.

  35. Michael H on December 2nd, 2008 6:31 am

Only if it will help him get elected. Otherwise, he could care less.

  36. 80's kid on December 2nd, 2008 11:26 pm

none of the answerers to this question should be proud of themselves.

  37. dpsimswm on December 4th, 2008 6:09 am

What kind of a question is this? I don’t really understand the point. He is an American citizen.

His father was from Kenya and he was raised by his white mother and grandparents in Hawaii. He’s as ‘real’ and American as anyone else.

  38. Rhubarb on December 5th, 2008 1:20 am

    Answer

I think he is proud. Why not?

  39. Mackey-Doo on December 7th, 2008 8:32 pm

He is comfortable in his skin, respects his heritage, which includes being a legal citizen of the United States. Hopefully you are as proud of you multi-national heritage as well.

  40. Robyn Duck on December 7th, 2008 11:36 pm

    don’t know - that’s a personal issue and I really don’t care

It’s only an issue if he’s talking to a black audience

  41. Ingrid on December 10th, 2008 1:29 am

He very obviously embraces both. Let us all be proud of where we came from and that is around the world.

  42. Leafsfan29 on December 10th, 2008 11:38 pm

Sen. Obama’s father was from Kenya, not Ghana. Two entirely different nations.

Perhaps you could attend one of his town hall meetings and ask him this question.

  43. wmayers99 on December 12th, 2008 5:37 pm

Why, are you ashamed of your heritage? Why do you **** America?

  44. My 5 Cents on December 14th, 2008 11:30 pm

i think most people are proud of their heritage what ever it may be.
so why would he be different?

  45. danrathersdrunkagain on December 16th, 2008 10:47 am

What has africa provided the world in the last 500 yrs except forced labor?

  46. 411 on December 16th, 2008 5:27 pm

Funny ,,,,,,, I thought he was less than10% black by his heritage and over 70% aribic by his decendents. Do your research - it may surprise you. I personally don;t care if he was green with purple hair. I don’t trust him not based on his skin color…..but from his own words on an array of issues.

  47. John on December 17th, 2008 5:48 am

Maybe he is proud of his african heritage, but he isn’t proud of his half brother living in poverty. If he wont even help his brother, how can I believe he wants to help me.
