It’s so many ****** comments here. Why dont people realize that African-Americans are a mixed race of people.

My question is: Isn’t this pretty common knowledge (thought in schools). I know I was thought it and even if you look at the diversity in the physical appearance, it should be obvious that African Americans are a mixed race of people. If you put a African-American (Black American) next to an indigenous West-African you will see a dramatic differences. African Americans are a mixture of African, White (Caucasian) and Native American bloodlines.
So with that said, why do people make such ****** statements, when African Americans have the same ancestry similar to them?

They might be similar, but their skins are not. Racism is a disease. Once it starts, it’s spread and hard to be stopped. We need to find a cure.
Because people have nothing better to do than make fun of each other. If we didnt have fights with each other we would sit around twidling our thumbs and getting overpopulated because *** would be the only thing to do…like africa
Whether we are of mixed races or not, I don’t see why it matters. I understand that you are saying that people should not be making ****** comments towards black people, but it’s almost as if you are saying that the reason is because we are also of mixed descent.
Whether we have white, asian indian or whatever else in us, it should not matter. No matter what other bloodlines we have in us, that is still no reason for the ****** comments. So even though you are trying to do good with your question, in a way, your question still comes off as a bit ****** itself.
And I understand you are mixed, but as you well know, most people view you as if you have one drop of black in you, you are black and therefore they will treat you the same way they treat the rest of us.
Some blacks choose to seperate themselves from other races. My opinion is if a black person can, then why in the he** do I have to feel like Im being a ******??? I am not racist, my daughter is biracial, so I have experienced this more than a lot of white people. I just got sick of footing the blame for slavery which ended more than 100 years ago. Im willing to move on, but you wont find many blacks that wiil say that, because as long as that excuse is around the resentment will always be against us white people.

And not all West Africans are midnight black. There are as many different shades in Africa as there are in the US.

I don’t know where you get your information from, but there are diff. sub cultures of African people buy they are not mixed with white. Just think about this have you ever heard of two white ppl producing a dark skin baby? Now, why is it possible for two dark skinned ppl to have a white child (albino’s)???????? There is no such thing as a “white person” we are all mixed, that’s why you find melanin in your skin….you know freckles.
Cause too many ppl still don’t see beyond the color. It works both ways. This issue is much more complicated than that, and has been so beaten to death, that I’m and I’m sure many others are already sick of it. It seems somehow as if the whole race issue is a necessity in a society, almost a human nature. Even more disturbingly it’s now almost cool to be discriminated against, I’ve heard too often someone saying that you did this, or didn’t do that “cause I’m black”. However many times it may have nothing to do with it! It’s has become almost an excuse. I think too many ppl don’t want to know anything of this mix of race, and purity of how African you really are as as long as your skin is dark you’re black and nobody will really be able to tell anything else, at least most ppl won’t. US has its own racism, it’s quite different from other nations actually. It’s discussed here openly, seems everyone is aware of it, yet it keeps on continuing, and often in very obvious manner almost as it was a joke. I haven’t encountered anything similar in Europe I would like to know how it is elsewhere however? Anyone notice this?
Actually only about 35 percent of African-Americans or of mixed blood. You must go deep into the interior of Sub Saharan Africa do distinguish other African types. In addition Africans from all over Africa including the east coast where also brought to this country, Primarily by muslims slave traders who sold them on the west coast of africa. That when they where brought to the America’s various add mixtures that where not possible in Africa due to isolation became possible. However people are people are people. And I feel that the sooner we simply realize this, we will have taken the first step in a workable unity amongst all mankind. Then all we have to do is erase human nature. Thats the tough part.
