I would consider you Latina. =]
You can consider yourself what ever you want.
It also depends on your appearance too, like if you look more black, then people will assume you’re black.
I’ll consider you Half latina and Half Black
Here’s a thought. How bout if you just consider yourself a human being? Why is it necessary to divide ourselves up into little boxes? You are no doubt a very beautiful young lady. Go with that and if someone asks you what race you are-tell them you’re a part of the human race.
i would consider you black being that im from the south and everyone that not white is black. I’m black and got curly hair and my dad family got blue eyes and light skin but they are still black. you black where i live until you start talking. peace.
Yes and no. You’re of mixed ethnicity, meaning that culturally you’re mixed. Your parents speak different languages and have different traditions.
But racially is a different story. Hispanic is not a race, it is an ethnic origin, and most hispanics are a mix of black, white, and native american ancestry, depending on the country of origin. A large number of panamanians are black, so its possible that you can still be mostly black and latina at the same time.
My parents are Dominican, Haitian and kittitian(its an island in the caribbean), and i look mostly black, though i have wavy hair. so i just call myself an Afro-latino.
You can call yourself Human.
Well, look at Obama, he’s half black n half white, but guess what! according to tyra banks, and allmost every other american, he’s black! So guess what you would probably be called?
Half Black Half Panamanian, otherwise known as a Hispanic/Black mix. U are biracial(mixed). U should consider urself both. I’m Panamanian!!! =P
black latina.
My friend’s mom is from Panama and his dad is african american like you but he considers himself black and he doesn’t speak spanish.
I’m black and cape verdean and speak portuguese but I consider myself just black.
i’m mixed jamaican and panamanian…i have a son and he is part mexican part panamanian…i’ve raised him to own all his background…because of my background, he looks partially like a PR, but with a hint of chinese and jamaican…people always try to catalog him as what they want…especially african americans…they attempt to classify him as black…he does not go for that…i’ve always told him that he needs to be proud of our background…all of it…so if you ask him,he will tell you that he is part panamanian, part mexican, part jamaican, part chinese, part hindu, and part panamanian indian…you can make of that what you want, but this is who he is…and i’ve always told him that he doesn’t have to choose one or the other…because he is made of all of the above…and he is very proud of his background…
don’t be pressured by outsiders to conform what they want for you to be…never forget who you are, who your people are and where you have come from…there are not that many panas out here, and it is easy to get ****** in to the african american culture…but if you hold panama for what it is…you should have no problem presenting yourself as part panamanian and part african american…and you make of that what you want it to be…
Yes, you would consider yourself mixed or Afro-Panamanian.
