dream catcher asked:

I gainded custody of my little cousin. She is half black and half white. Im half Sioux and half white.

I grew up knowing about both of my hertages. and I still love learning new facts. But my little cousin started her life being raised by raceist people. Why they would choose to raise her when they were so narrow minded, I dont know. She knows nothing of her Aferican roots. I want to change this, but dont know where to start.

abby asked:

on the internet, in magazines, all you get is information on african/american, caucasian, hispanic, latin american, asian etc,etc ! what about us? WHERE DO WE BELONG? someone please help.

c marie asked:

I’ve come to find that a lot of people i meet from puerto rico and other latin american countries (except Brazil of coarse) seem to take pride in their european heritage but never take notice of their african heritage. I was just wondering are they taught about the slave trade in those countries and the african influence around them (food, music, etc) or is it a taboo. is considering yourself africana instead of hispanic frowned upon in those countries or not as “cool”.

Luke B asked:

I would appreicate a percentage and/or fraction
I am not afican american myself so I don’t care about semantics. Please leave out answers that deal with “humans originating from africa”, “unless you were born in Africa your just an American” or “it depends on how you were raised”. I want to know what percentage of clack you have to be to truthfully aswer african American on any type of offical form
